In 1986 Dave Ferris, a third-generation owner of the family’s milking machine company predicted that milking machines were not the wave of the future and decided to change the company’s focus to improving commercial lawnmowers. They created a machine, brought it to a New York trade show and the rest is history. Today, Ferris continues to produce innovative and reliable power equipment for professional landscapers.

Ferris Industries is a commercial lawn mower specialist. Not only this, this Industries earned reputation by delivering customers high quality products and solutions for over 95 years. Ferris will keep you on the cutting edge, with innovative mower designs and technology, for years to come. Ferris lawn mowers are the only mowers in the industry that offer patented suspension technology. Ferris zero-turn lawn mowers are the only commercial mowers that feature a suspension system that was developed by engineers with landscape contractors’ needs in mind. Ferris lawn mowers were built from the ground up to be the hardest working and smoothest riding in the industry.

Ferris lawn mower patented suspension system allows each wheel to move up and down independently smoothing out uneven turf. The deck of the lawn mower works in conjunction with the suspension system to provide a consistent cut. This system virtually laminates shock to the chassis, resulting in superior operator comfort, increased mowing speeds, stability and extended lawn mower life.

Ferris’s most powerful machine is the IS5100Z zero-turn ride-on mower. Powered by a 33.5-hp Caterpillar diesel engine, the IS5100Z is equipped with twin 7.5-gallon fuel tanks, a two-stage industrial air cleaner and both a primary and secondary fuel filter for maximum performance and durability. Choose from a 61- or 72-inch cutting deck, both of which allow you to easily adjust the cutting height to between 1.5 and 6 inches. Ferris’s unique patented four-wheel suspension system increases productivity by providing all-day comfort and a high-quality cut with every pass. The 4500Z, 3100Z, 2000Z and 1500Z all provide the same durability and performance in a size, strength and affordability that’s right for every landscaping professional.
